A Park Within A City — Family-Friendly Tour
Hosted By
About Event
On this tour, we learn about Toronto through lens of its parks & playgrounds. Playgrounds can teach us far more than they first appear. They are thoughtfully designed to tell us something about the land they inhabit, and we would be wise to study them deeply.
This a family-friendly tour. You are encouraged to bring your kids, who will be given ample time to play in the playgrounds while the tour is going on. The tour is two hours long, and involves around 45 total minutes of walking. The rest of the time is spent in parks and playgrounds.
Duration: 2hrs
Location: The tour begins at Grange Park, which is located between St. Patrick and Osgoode subway stations. It concludes at St. James Park, a short walk King subway station.
Price: This tour operates on a pay-what-you-can basis. There is a one-time $2 booking fee per family to secure your spot on the tour. At the end of the tour, you can pay whatever you feel the tour was worth (cash or card both accepted). Most guests choose to pay between $25 - $40 per person.
Accessibility: This tour will take place on downtown city sidewalks. St. Patrick and Osgoode stations have accessible entrances, but King station does not. For elevator access, use Union and Queen stations nearby.
