About Event
General Catalyst is co-hosting a one day hackathon in Waterloo where builders ship something real, demo it to the room, and compete for prizes.
Join solo or with a team of up to 4. Expect a full day of hacking, mentorship, demos, and good food.
🏆 Judging + Prizes
Demos start at 3PM, career fair style: you present at your station while judges and other teams walk the room
Everyone in the room votes for Audience Favourite
Winning teams pick from the prize pool, first place picks first

10:00 AM - Doors open: coffee, networking, find your people
10:30 AM - Kickoff from General Catalyst
11:00 AM - Hacking starts
12:00 PM - Lunch
3:00 PM - Demos + awards ceremony
4:30 PM - Wrap up

Open track, build anything, any stack
Mentors and judges from GC and the Waterloo tech community
Bring a laptop + charger
👤 Who Should Join
Students and recent grads in CS, engineering, math, or anything adjacent
Builders of any experience level, teams of 1-4 welcome
Able to attend in person in Waterloo
