🎨✍️💻 Ever wanted to learn a new skill in just 30 minutes? Or maybe you’ve got a cool talent you’re ready to share with someone else? The Random Skill Swap is the perfect chance to do both!
Join us for a lighthearted and interactive session where everyone gets to be both a teacher and a student. Whether you know how to design a website, draw a doodle, juggle, or write the perfect email—there’s a place for your skills here! Simply write down a skill you have and a skill you want to learn, and we’ll pair you up for fun, bite-sized learning exchanges. 🎉 SNACKS INCLUDED😉
How it works:
Write down a skill you can teach and a skill you’d like to learn. Please make sure your skill is something that can be easily taught in a classroom setting—nothing too complicated or requiring specialized equipment! View our excel sheet to see a list of responses from others for inspo!
We’ll match you with someone who complements your skills. If no perfect match is found, no worries—you’ll be randomly paired with someone for a surprise swap!
Prepare as much or as little as you like! It’s entirely up to you how you’d like to teach your skill—no formal preparation required (ensure to bring your own materials if need be).
Schedule :
Welcome & Introductions (15-20 mins): Meet the group, review the event plan, and get comfortable.
Round 1: Teach/Swap (30-40 mins): Share your skill with your partner.
Break (10-15 mins): Take a short breather and refresh.
Round 2: Learn/Swap (30-40 mins): Now, it’s your turn to learn from your partner!
Break & Socializing (10-15 mins): Mingle, discuss skills, or grab some refreshments.
Round 3: Bonus Round (30-40 mins): Optional final round where you can swap with a new partner or explore a new skill!
Wrap-Up & Open Share (15-20 mins): Share what you’ve learned, reflect, and connect with others.
In two short rounds, you’ll teach, learn, and maybe even surprise yourself with new talents. No skill is too big or too small—this is all about having fun, making new friends, and expanding your creative horizons! 🤹♀️📚🎶
